The word classic car has a strong connotation with the domestic muscle car industry in the United States. There are thousands of car shows for this market of various genre and even sub genres; despite the declining auto industry the enthusiast spirit remains very high. But then where's the love for the imported classic cars?
Such organization as JCCS (Japanese Classic Car Show) has been around for years providing exposure and uniting the owners of classic Japanese vehicles. The 2009 show took place in Hidden Valley Park, Irvine California where the venue took place in a lusciously green field tucked away from public view. This event has recently began to receive generous sponsorships from big named manufacturers such Toyota and Mazda, which in return gave them the chance to break out their historical machines that were collecting dust in the museums into the radiant California sun. The beauty of classic cars is that it attracts the broadest age range of the enthusiasts. It's a place where the old can share fascinating tales of the automobile with the young, with both sides as equally committed to the conversation.
