Do you ever wonder why models change their hair color, put makeup on, wear different outfits and sometimes even go to the extreme of getting cosmetic surgery? The answer is simple...we love to modify our look according to seasons, mood, personality and lifestyle so we can strut around and get your attention...and there's no greater example of modification in comparison to cars vs. girls than in the tuner market.
Generally speaking, the guys who choose to fix up there stock car as a hobby or career, share their passion to recreate their vehicle according to their sense of style. They desire to show it off to the world as they are proud of their accomplishment and their work. Modifying cars is like art where the car enthusiast can freely express his/her passion onto their vehicle for the whole world to see. As a model, we do the same thing - we modify our look to keep up with our career and enhance our overall image to the mainstream audience as we seek national stardom.
Most cars are built in various categories - speed/performance, originality of style and equipment. When you go to car shows this is what most people look for. When you're on the streets if you see a clean looking car, it turns heads. But sometimes, the execution of modifying a car is "not so good" or doesn't get approval of the audiences' taste. For example, I was having lunch and hanging out with a friend of mine who works for Nissan's performance dept. He drives a modified 350z and you guys might recognize his car from covers of numerous tuner magazines and shows. He said something that really grabbed my attention. "You can have all the expensive parts in the world but if it isn't executed properly on the car, it can still turn out like shit!"
His comment made me think about all the models and girls that are getting expensive cosmetic surgery to enhance their overall physical appearance. Most of the time, having all that fake stuff won't make their modeling career a huge success or get them the macho hunk that they dream about.
As for me I've been pretty blessed with what I got and to clear the air, for those who are curious, no I don't have fake boobs. My face, my body, my booty…it's all 100% genuine and a God-given gift. Sometimes the right execution for me is being simple and natural! And that's my secret to being a successful model. Personally, I think there's nothing wrong with cheating a little and getting cosmetic enhancements. It's the equivalent of squeezing NOS in a quarter mile race. In our ever changing world today, it's definitely accepted in our society, in the real life scene or in the tuner scene.
Sometimes getting a boob job can land a great job in modeling and sometimes it only limits you to do certain types of modeling. Either way in my opinion, it's being who you are in the inside that's the most important. Letting your creativity shine from the inside out! Besides if a guy can modify their car the way they want, why can't we girls modify ourselves? So what's the common denominator in all this eye-candy modification? 2pac said it best; we want "All eyes on me!!!"
