Ok, so summer time is here and it's time to dust off that grill and get to work. We're not going to be as arrogant as to tell you how to prepare and cook your steak. Not this issue anyway. Instead, we wanted to share a not so well known awesome treat from the grill. Beer soaked bratwurst. That's right, just when you thought neither could get any better on its own, we combined them. Ein prosit!
INGREDIENTS
Smoked Bratwurst (fresh from the deli is best but Johnsonville’s will work)
Beer (we recommend a German Lager to compliment the brats)
Sauerkraut
Mustard (we recommend Dijon but yellow will work)
STEPS
1. lace small cross cuts into Brat’s
2. Put brats in sauce pan with beer (1/2 – 1 bottle or can)
3. Simmer for about 5 minutes in beer
4. Take Brat’s out of saucepan and place on grill
5. Grill slowly until cooked or warm all the way through
6. Place on bun add Sauerkraut and mustard
BEST SERVED WITH
German lager, Sauerkraut & German style potato salad
