New year; new challenges for the automotive industry as the big 3 seek bailout money from Congress. However, this could mean great news for you if you have cash; good credit and/or a job. Automakers are practically giving away cars nowadays. 0% financing; WAY below MSRP markdown; you name it, they are trying it to get you into a new car. We got a call about a new GT-R w/ an MSRP of $80k going for $75k. The used luxury car market has also taken a dump as well. We found some S2000 AP1's going for $9k and '05 BMW M3's going for $16k. What's the world coming to? I don't know but I like it.

RALLY CAR MUST SELL!...A bunch of people alerted us to a post by Prodrive stating that they were going to sell off a bunch of WRC and Group N rally cars in their possession including Colin McRae's original '97 GC8 WRC car at a ridiculously low price of £85,000 ($123,000 USD).

As of this post, the Prodrive site keeps crashing due to the suspected heavy traffic so we can't tell if the car has been sold or not. However, there are a bunch of other rally cars that you can buy from Prodrive as they try to sell off some excess inventory.

BMW Art Cars...Here's your chance to catch 4 of the cars in the BMW Art Car collection including those painted by Andy Warhol, Frank Stella and Roy Lichtenstein. This exhibit just ended its run at LACMA in Los Angeles and will now move on to New York City's Grand Central Terminal, March 24-April 6, before heading to a three-city museum tour in Mexico so catch it while you can.

Rhys Millen's Hyundai Genesis has been getting tons of press the past few months. With the viral video and broadcast campaigns, it looks like Hyundai has quickly embraced drifting this year. Too bad the Genesis isn't included in their Buy Back Program.

Just got word that Steve Millen has begun build on a Rally-spec GT-R35 with plans to compete in the Targa Newfoundland Tarmac Rally later this year. It should be interesting to see how this car holds up to those conditions. Stay tuned for more info on this one.

Finally, news of a US based Formula One team entering the championship in 2010 was awesome to hear until we found out that the team will be based in North Carolina; Nascar country. However, after hearing Peter Windsor, one of the principals behind the team, talk about their plans for development and build of the car here in the US and testing in Europe, we were much relieved. Now all they have to do is win!
